Puppy chewing his hind leg

My puppy is chewing his right back leg. He only does it at night. He chews it raw. I've been to vet. He has no mites or anything. Vet seems to think its just a habit hell outgrow. Any ideas

It could be growing pains,

It could be growing pains, you may have to change your puppy's food to a lower metabolism food or it also could be an allergy, bullies seem to be more prone to allergies, may be something on her bed, laundry detergent you use for her blanket. I've had this happen myself and it was a process of illumination to find the culprit, but it worked. Just a thought.

I hope it's something that

I hope it's something that they will outgrow because my girl, Medusa does the same thing. She doesn't have any kind of bugs on her, but she chews the crap out of her leg.
